Himalayan Salt

Himalayan salt is a type of rock salt that is mined from the Khewra Salt Mine in the Punjab region of Pakistan, located at the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range. The salt is believed to be millions of years old and is said to have been formed from ancient sea beds that were pushed up by geological activity.

Himalayan salt is known for its distinctive pink color, which is due to the presence of trace minerals such as iron, magnesium, and potassium. These minerals can also give Himalayan salt a slightly different flavor and texture than table salt or other types of salt.

Himalayan salt can be used in a similar way to other types of salt, as a seasoning for food. It is also used in decorative salt lamps or in spa treatments.
